This case study is going to be talking about auto window tinting on a Mercedes GTS AMG we did at our Laguna Hills, California location a few weeks ago. The customer brought in their recently purchased Mercedes primarily for heat and sun fading issues. This Mercedes GTS AMG was no different. The customer was having issues with the vehicle getting uncomfortably hot, especially in the afternoon. If the car has been sitting in the heat, the leather seats are hot to touch. The customer even noticed that when the car was being used it got really hot as well. And with the heat comes potential sun fading. This customer wanted to take a proactive approach and protect the leather and the interior of the car from sun fading. Stratos Series
After our team took a look at the Mercedes GTS AMG, we recommended that the customer install Stratos Series 50 on the windshield and Pinnacle series on the rest of the glass on the car. Llumar Formula One Stratos Series utilizes Hybrid-Matrix Nano-ceramic technology which provides maximum heat rejection. Installing Stratos 50 on the windshield is going to help keep the Mercedes cool and comfortable whether it’s been parked in the sun for hours or on a long road trip. While the entire Stratos series provides maximum heat rejection, Stratos 50 specifically rejects 54% of heat, 37% of glare, and 99.5% of UVA and UVB rays. These ultraviolet rays are the leading cause of sun fading, so by blocking 99.5% of them the interior of the car is being protected by the harmful sun rays.
Pinnacle Series
The customer decided to take our recommendation and install the Llumar Formula One Pinnacle Series on all of the car glass except the windshield. The Pinnacle Series uses advanced technology that provides maximum heat reduction and excellent clarity out of the glass. Our team recommended Pinnacle 15 for this car to get the maximum amount of heat rejection. Pinnacle 15 blocks 61% of heat and 80% of glare, and 99.5% of UVA and UVB rays. Blocking this amount of heat is going to make the Mercedes GTS AMG significantly cooler and more comfortable.
